"Kin’d is a small business with a hands-on approach. Every bit of coconut you enjoy from us is work driven by our farmers and myself."

  • Hi I’m Ama, the founder of Kin’d.

  • My childhood holidays were spent with grandma, my Achchi, following her between coconut palms as she wandered through her small plantation.
  • We grew up on that fresh coconut; in everyday meals, in our celebratory kiribath milk rice, and even in the virgin coconut oil that Achchi made for hair and skin.
  • I grew up in the heart of this local coconut culture, and I see enormous potential in it to support women, keep up the ways of life and economy in villages, and get people connected through good food.
  • This is why Kin’d isn’t just business. It’s a personal mission for me. I really hope you enjoy Kin’d!

"I think we should be able to buy our food directly from people who grow and source it; honest, healthier and less expensive."

"That’s why I want to give you guys the best tasting, purest coconut milk that we grew up with in Sri Lanka, where the world’s creamiest cocos grow."

More honesty, more goodness. More closeness between people who enjoy coconuts and those who grow them… more kindred.

We don’t believe in coco milk made with nuts picked from multiple origins, get homogenized and processed with chemical nasties and shipped to manufacturing facilities in the US before getting packed and redistributed to you.

  • Here’s how we keep our Kin’d supply model so direct.

The coconuts collected from our farmers from a single locality.
  • Goes into production and then packed right on site adhering to HACCP and ISO 22000 international quality, health and safety standards.
  • This gets directly shipped to our warehouse in Los Angeles which is then delivered directly to you. So simple!

With Kin'd, it's single origin, fair labour, no nasties, and no middle-men, always.
